The short version
We collect the absolute minimum we need to send you an email. We do not sell your data. We do not track you across the internet. We do not run ads.
What we collect
- Email address — when you join The Flock. Used to send you the Monday email and nothing else.
- Basic analytics — aggregate page views and traffic sources via standard WordPress analytics. No individual user tracking.
- Form submissions — if you fill in the press contact form, we keep the message for as long as we need to reply to it.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your email address to anybody.
- We do not share your email with third parties beyond our email delivery service (Mailchimp / equivalent).
- We do not run retargeting ads. We do not use Facebook Pixel. We do not use Google Ads.
- We do not track you across other websites.
Unsubscribing
Every Monday email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click. You will be removed from the list immediately. We will not re-add you.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of functional cookies (to remember you are on the site, mostly). We do not use tracking cookies. See our cookies page for the details.
Your rights
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. Email us via the contact form and we will delete your record within seven days.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are Amazon affiliate links. When you click one and buy a book, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. We tell you about every one with the words “Get on Amazon” on the link itself, and you can always go to Amazon directly if you would prefer not to use our link.
